During this time her wings turned grey. The Court fell silent around her. She knelt beside rivers and whispered to the water, asking whether she had ever truly been light at all. Eventually she left the Court entirely, unable to find answers within its walls.

The Trials Wandering alone, Aelindra faced three defining moments:

She guided a mortal child through a dangerous twilight valley using nothing but her voice as a lantern — no wings, no glow, only presence.
She confronted an Unseelie whisper with no power but her name — and her courage held. The darkness withdrew in shame.
She learned, through these acts, that kindness is a form of magic even when one feels entirely empty.

Each act rekindled a spark within her, though she did not yet understand what was happening.

The Revelation On a cliff above the ocean, where the ancient spirits roam, Aelindra finally understood the truth: her light had never been stolen. It had only lost its way. This moment restored her glow, not to what it once was but to something deeper, steadier, and wholly her own.

Relationships

The Seelie Court Aelindra’s relationship with the Court is complicated by her Fading. She left when she could no longer bear its light against her own darkness. Ayla, Ewelynne, Faelen and Kaeir Aelindra exists within the same world as the central characters but has not yet crossed their paths.
