Just a few screen captures of the Ensemble system. Eventually I will have full documentation but until then – just some examples:

Initial login screen on the web.

When you first wear the hud – it will give you a temporary password IMd to you in world. Your Access ID will also be displayed (and can be found any time by going to settings on the hud in world).

On first login – it will require you to change your password to a more secure one. You can also ask it to remember you for 30 days and you wont need to login then until that time is up or you manually log out.

Blank outfit panel

When you first log in – you will see a blank outfits panel. You can see the menu on the top left, and on the right the online indicator, your name and signout. Later you will be able to add new outfits directly from the web but that option isnt in the current build.

Main HUD Menu

The main menu of the HUD allows you add new outfits to the system, lock the HUD, or open the website along with editing certain settings

Adding an outfit is just entering the path to the folder

When adding a new outfit, just use the Create Outfit button on the HUD and enter the full path to the folder containing the outfit. This folder must be under the #RLV folder (but you do not enter the #RLV part of the path). In the case above – the outfit was in “#RLV/RLV-Outfits/Persephone/PNT-Skinny”

#RLV Folder location

NOTE: If you do not HAVE an #RLV folder in your viewer (and assuming you have RLV enabled in the first place – if not, you will need to enable it), then you will need to create a new folder called #RLV in the very top of your inventory

1st Outfit Showing!

You should now see on the website your new outfit. You may also notice a filter bar at the top now. It says “not filtered” and there is no “more” button to see anything to filter it by as you have no tags yet. There is also a “Hide Private” checkbox. If this is checked – then any outfits marked as “Private” will be excluded from the view. As no image has been selected yet for the outfit, it is using the placeholder image.

Outfit Details

In the details pane you can enter tags for your outfit, mark it private or leave it public and put any comments you want. Comments will be visible to you and to anyone you share an outfit “link” with (feature not available yet). You can also browse for an image to upload which will be resized to 800×800 on upload.

Image uploaded and tags entered.

Once your image has been uploaded and you have entered any tags etc you want – press save to be taken back to the main outfits display.

Showing image and filter bar

Now you have an in image set you will see that on the card on the main display. You will also see the tags (abbreviated if they are too long), and there will be a filter button at the right hand side of the filter bar. If you click this it will drop down with all the tags entered into the system for your account. You can select any of these filters to restrict the view to ONLY items that match the selected filters. If you select “Hide Private” any items that are marked private in the outfit details will not be shown.

Default Removal Points

Under the settings menu you can set your “default” removal points. These are used when you select the “Remove attachment points before wearing” option in an outfit. If you check this box, you will be able to select between “Use my defaults” and “Custom for this outfit”

“Remove attachment points before wearing” – Default or Custom

MOST functionality is in now – these are the items still do do:

  • Assigning existing outfits to be worn as “BASE OUTFITS” for another outfit (An outfit for a dress may for example have a base outfit of the body etc that is worn BEFORE wearing the outfit.)
  • Assigning existing outfits to be worn as “ADDITIONAL OUTFITS” for another outfit (An outfit may optionally wear a “handbag” additional outfit AFTER the outfit has been worn)
  • Creating LINKS that can be given to people to have a view of your Ensemble system. You can choose when creating these if they should include private items or not, and if the link is “view only” of if the link should also provide “wear/remove” functionality (it will never have edit permissions).
  • Check RLV and Send RLV Command – will allow you to check that your HUD has RLV Access. Additionally you can test RLV commands by entering an RLV command directly into a box to send to your HUD which will send it to RLV for action.
  • Managing LINKS created above – so you can copy the link to share to others, edit links, delete links (if you delete a link anyone with that link will no longer be able to access – so you can create links for temporarily showing someone then remove it)
  • Backup and Restore. This is for obvious reasons – but should also enable someone to MOVE their whole setup to a new hosting. If they created it on the provided hosting – but then want to move to their own hosting they can create and download a backup (zip file), then change the URL of the web service (from the settings menu in the hud), log into the new website, then restore their backup. They should then have full access as before.
  • Change Password – this functionality is really already in place (a slightly customised version is used for force password change on first login). NOTE: If you FORGET your password you can always use the reset password option on the HUD. It will IM you a new temporary password and tell the website you need to change it on next login.
  • I may also add a “wear on removal” for outfits. This will add another outfit (or outfits) when you use the REMOVE option for an outfit. This will never work 100%. Any outfit removed by any method OTHER than the “REMOVE” button will NOT prompt the wearing of this extra outfit. For example: removing the outfit in world or another outfit being worn prompting what you are currently wearing to be removed.

This is the current state of play as of 8pm BST Sunday 31st May 2026. However, changes to this system are happening at a fast pace (the project only seriously started about a week ago).
